Garmin Mobile XT Full Image Software v4.xx.xx Windows 2000/XP.
This download contains all files necessary to install the Garmin Mobile XT application to PDA and smartphone devices running Windows Mobile, Palm or Symbian OS software. Detailed maps are not included and must be purchased separately.
During installation, you will be prompted to turn on your Garmin GPS. Please Note: You will not gain access to Garmin Online features and/or the navigation will be unavailable without connecting your Garmin GPS.
A minimum card size of 256 MB is recommended for Garmin Mobile XT software with maps.
If you have previously installed the Garmin Que for Pocket PC or Garmin Que for Palm application, you must uninstall Garmin Que before installing the Garmin Mobile XT application.
This image download will not support Symbian UIQ2.x (ex. Sony P910) or Symbian UIQ3.x (ex. Sony W950) devices.

As with any software update, you should always create a backup of the data on your device before beginning. Please see the information provided in the user manual for your device for more information.
USB to SD card reader (applicable for most Symbian OS devices - some Nokia phones offer 'Data Transfer' mode when connected to the PC and will allow the phone act like a USB card reader): Insert an SD or other card into an external card reader. All files required for the application update will be copied to this card. Select the 'Download' link found on this web page. Select to 'Run' or 'Save' the file. Selecting 'Run' will immediately launch the install program. Selecting 'Save', will save the file to your PC and require you to launch the install program from the saved location. Follow the directions provided when running the downloaded program and directions provided on the device display to complete the application update.

Selecting 'Save', will save the file to your PC and require you to launch the install program from the saved location. USB connection to a Windows Mobile device: Insert an SD or other card into your WM device. All files required for the application update will be copied to this card. Connect your device to your PC via USB. Ensure ActiveSync is running and connected. Select the 'Download' link found on this web page. Select to 'Run' or 'Save' the file. Selecting 'Run' will immediately launch the install program. Selecting 'Save', will save the file to your PC and require you to launch the install program from the saved location. Follow the directions provided when running the downloaded program and directions provided on the device display to complete the application update.
You will need to keep the card inserted in your device for the voice, help and basemap files. This card can also be used to hold your detailed maps. Run MapSource or MapInstall on your PC to select and save detailed maps to your data card.
